At Paws for Thought we are dedicated to giving dogs and their owners the happiest life possible. Throughout the years we've been in business and even before, as avid animal lovers, we gained a lot of skills in dealing with pet behaviour and training. As our workload quietened down through lockdown we kept busy and decided to put that time to good use, studying hard and combining our 35+ years experience to enable us to offer the Professional Dog Training Service we have been planning for some time. We have developed a wide range of Professional Training Methods, for whatever your dogs needs. We have seen many different issues, from lack of basic training to a number of anxiety related issues. Every dog breed has its traits and specific requirements, but each dog also has its own unique personality and life experiences. Therefore after meeting your pet we will tailor a training method individual to you and your pets needs.
Our Behavioural and Obedience Training deals with many unwanted behaviours and will help you build a stronger bond with your pet.

The fundamental needs of a happy/healthy dog are Food/Water, Grooming, Physical and Mental Stimulation and of course Love. A bored Dog is an unhappy Dog.
We will teach you how to communicate clearly and effectively with your beloved pet.
Seperation Anxiety
Seperation anxiety in dogs and cats is at an all time high, as they have been used to having constant company and will become more apparent as people start to get out and about more. Seperation anxiety is something we learned about very early on in business as a lot of our custom came as a result of it, either through daycare for dogs who could not be left alone while their owners were at work or out for the day, or dogs who could not settle in boarding kennels as they were used to constant company and care (quite rightly so as they are such a loving and treasured member of the family).
Puppy Training
Throughout lockdown more people than ever have brought a new pet into the family. As all responsible pet owners are aware, puppy training can be full on and with each animal having their own unique personality it can be a challenge to get this right. With the right Training at the start it will make for a much stronger and happier relationship and a much more harmonious environment at home. If your dog know how to behave in all given situations it will feel much happier and relaxed.
