We are a family run business based in West Kilbride, offering a wide range of Professional Pet Care Services for pet owners in the North Ayrshire area - mainly West Kilbride, Ardrossan, Saltcoats, Dalry, Fairlie & Largs. We have been in business since April 2003 and started through a genuine passion for animals. When we started out in business all those years ago, Dog Walking and Pet Sitting were practically unheard of in this area. As avid animal lovers we hated leaving our own pets in Kennels or Catteries when we went on holiday and learned that you can't always rely on friends or family to look after them for you. We already looked after our friends and families pets for them when they were away and decided to see if we could make a career out of doing what we love best - Caring For Animals. Here we are, all these years later and I can honestly say we have never looked back.
Over the years we have developed Extensive Pet Care Handling Experience and now offer a variety of services - DOG WALKING, HOME VISITING, DOGGIE DAY CARE & BOARDING, PET TAXI and most recently DOG TRAINING.
We cater for most animals large or small... Cats, Dogs, Rabbits, Guinea Piggs, Hamsters, Goldfish, Birds And Much More.

Whatever service you require, whether you are going on holiday and need care for your pet/s and/ or home, or you work, or have other commitments and just can''t be there to walk or feed your pet, or are having any behavioural or social issues, you can rest assured that we will care for your beloved pet the way you would.
At Paws For Thought Dog Walkers & Petsitters we understand that your pet is a very important member of your family and that each pet is very different and has their own unique personality, therefore our service is personalised to suit the individual needs of both you and your pet. To provide the specific care required we carry out an introductory no obligation home visit, this allows you and your pet to meet us personally, ask any questions and explain needs.
OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU
We will ensure that both you and your pet receive the Highest standard of service. All house keys given to us will be kept in a secure location when not being used and all will be given a unique code known only to us, so your details are never attached to them in case of any loss. Alarm codes, details of animals and property will be kept confidential.
All animals will be transported with the utmost care in our clearly marked and customised van, stating our business name and number. Dogs will only ever be walked off the lead after obtaining written permission from you and after an initial assessment. In case of emergency we will always obtain the proper treatment for your pet whether we can contact you or not, in all cases we will use your designated vet where possible, if necessary we will pay for any treatment until your return. We are fully vetted and insured.
